Student feedback helps instructors reflect on and further develop their teaching. Which teaching methods worked well? Were the objectives of the course achieved? What do the students want?
The exchange between instructors and students can lead to reflection on the joint process of teaching and learning, to which students also contribute. This creates a supportive learning environment and ensures high-quality teaching.
Evaluation of courses
As part of the course evaluations, students are given the opportunity to comment on these and other questions regarding the design of a course. Instructors receive direct feedback on their teaching from the perspective of their students, which can help identify the strengths and weaknesses of this teaching. The course evaluations are organised and carried out by the deans of studies offices in the respective faculties, and instructors can contact them directly with any questions.
Evaluation of degree programmes
In addition to various forms of course evaluation, LUH regularly conducts surveys of applicants, students and graduates on the study situation, study conditions, services offered, career entry and career satisfaction. The results of these surveys are used by the faculties, university management and central stakeholders to develop degree programmes.
Survey reports at the degree-programme level are available to the deans of studies and are presented by ZQS/Quality Assurance in committees and departments. If you are interested in the results reports, please contact your dean of studies office or ZQS/Quality Assurance to enquire about a presentation or exchange.
