Commission for Responsible Research

Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø offers its researchers and academics the opportunity to discuss the risks of research projects with supportive and competent colleagues.

In July 2015, the University Senate decided to establish the Commission for Responsible Research, in which all member groups of the university are represented. The commission assists researchers and academics by providing assessments and advice on the consequences of research, as well as on the controllability and prevention of the harmful use of research and its results. The Commission for Responsible Research thus complements the work of the Central Ethics Committee at Leibniz University, which focuses on the ethical and legal aspects of research on humans. The most important task of the Commission for Responsible Research is to provide opinions on research proposals in response to requests from academics and researchers.
