Members of the Senate
In the Senate, the group of professors and junior professors is represented by seven members, while the other groups each have two representatives. According to 搂8 of the Constitution of Leibniz University, all representatives, except for those from the student group, are elected for a term of two years. Representatives from the student group are elected for a one-year term. The elections for student representatives in the Senate take place annually in January, with the most recent election having occurred in January 2024. The elections for representatives of the other groups occur biennially in January, with the next election scheduled for January 2025. The current term of office for all members runs until 31 March 2025. The president chairs the Senate. The administration of the Senate is managed by Dr. Siefert.
